Allopathy:
It is a system of medical practice that aims to combat disease by the use of remedies producing effects. The main aim of this department is to provide vaccination to the people against various diseases like swine flu etc. to prevent the disease. It also helps provide help in under nourished children
Homeopathy:
It is a system of medical practice in which ailments are treated by minute doses of natural substances in larger amounts, which produce symptoms of the ailment. This department is managed by District Homeopathic Officer at Distt. Level Govt. Homoeopathic Dispensary, Civil Hospital Ferozepur
Ayurveda:
Ayurveda, which literally means the science of life (Ayur = Life, Veda = Science), Ayurveda is an ancient medical science which was developed in India thousands of years ago.This department is managed by district Ayurvedic Officer.
Ambulance Service
108 is predominantly an emergency response system, primarily designed to attend to patients of critical care, trauma and accident victims etc.
102 services essentially consist of basic patient transport aimed to cater the needs of pregnant women and children though other categories are also taking benefit and are not excluded. JSSK entitlements e.g. free transfer from home to facility, inter facility transfer in case of referral and drop back for mother and children are the key focus of 102 service.

Janani Suraksha Yojana

Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) is a safe motherhood intervention under the National Rural Health Mission (NHM). It is being implemented with the objective of reducing maternal and neonatal mortality by promoting institutional delivery among poor pregnant women. The scheme was launched in 12th April 2005 and is being implemented in all states and Union Territories (UTs), with a special focus on Low Performing States (LPS).

Government of India has launched Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakaram (JSSK) on 1st June, 2011. The scheme is an initiative to assure free services to all pregnant women and sick neonates accessing public health institutions. This scheme envisage free and cashless services to pregnant women including normal deliveries and caesarean operations and also treatment of sick new born (up to 30 days after birth) in all Government Health institutions across State/UT.

Free screening and treatment of 31 selected diseases for all the Anganwadi, Government & Government aided school children upto the age of 18 years. Main objective of Child Health screening & Early intervention is to screen children from 0 to 18 years for 4Ds -> Defects at Birth, Diseases, Deficiencies and Developmental Delays including Disabilities.
Children diagnosed with illness will receive treatment including surgeries at tertiary level, free of cost under NHM Punjab.
Target Group under Child Health Screening and Early Intervention Services
- Babies born at Public Health Facilities and Home :-Children born at home will be screened by ASHA till 6 weeks of age and born at public health facilities by health manpower.
- Pre School Children (6 weeks to 6 years):-Anganwadi Center based screening by the dedicated Mobile Health Teams. Screening will be done twice a year
- Students studying from 1st to 12th class in Govt. & Govt. aided Schools (6 years to 18 years) will be screened once by dedicated Mobile Health Teams.
Treatment of mentioned 31 diseases is being provided free of cost at all Govt. Hospital in Punjab and Govt. Medical Colleges at Patiala, Faridkot and Amritsar, & PGIMER Chandigarh.
DMC & CMC Hospital Ludhiana, Max and Fortis Hospital, SAS Nagar have also been empanelled for the free treatment of RHD/CHD.
